Highlights
One of the special joys of ministry comes in looking
over years of service and seeing growth.
WAM has supported a variety of ministry initiatives.
These include: helping start and fund a puppet team
that now produces spectaculars and coordinating
construction for church plants and mission trips.
2007 - WAM supports a church plant in Hamanda, a city of 10,000 located a
28-hour boat ride from Manaus.
2009 - WAM's Executive Director, Milton Fielding, and his wife relocate to
Manaus. Milton manages construction on WAM partner church NIB's new
property.
2009 - Six months later (July), NIB relocates to their new 3,000 seat
auditorium. Construction continues on-site.
2009 - "Sonho de Natal", now in its 8th year, attracts 20,000 people. 568
make decisions for Christ.
2010 - The Hamanda church is now ready to plant its own church in a
neighboring community. WAM coordinates construction team efforts and a
construction mission trip. Partners on the project include First Baptist
Church in Terrell, Texas and Amazon Outreach.
